We've had a fantastic couple of months filled with events celebrating Asian elephants! In April, we prepared for Earth Day for Elephants, and in May, we attended a gala and screening of "Elephant Mother" hosted by Trunks Up in New York before heading to the UK for more screenings. It's been a whirlwind of fun!
In April, we had our first Earth Day for Elephants booth at Huston-Tillotson University, and we'd like to share some highlights. We had many educational conversations with the public about elephant conservation challenges like habitat loss and poaching. Our exhibits were a hit, providing visual experiences that deepened attendees' understanding of conservation efforts. We surpassed our fundraising goals this Earth Day, ensuring resources for our initiatives. Our team's dedication made a significant impact, and we're grateful for your ongoing support in protecting these magnificent animals.
In May, we attended the Trunks Up gala and the screening of Lek Chailert’s documentary, "Elephant Mother," in Manhattan. These events aimed to raise funds for Elephant Nature Park's new land fencing project and raise awareness of the plight of Asian elephants. The gala showcased strong solidarity and commitment to the park's elephant residents' future, with moving speeches from conservationists underscoring the importance of our collective efforts. Witnessing passionate individuals unite for such a meaningful cause was truly inspiring, emphasizing the ongoing need for support and advocacy in global elephant conservation. After NYC, we crossed the pond to London with Lek Chailert and the team for more screenings of “Elephant Mother.” It was a whirlwind.
Now that we've had some breathing room, we're gearing up for our own screening of "Elephant Mother" and an auction in the fall, plus a fun event at Christmas time.
Stay tuned for more exciting news!
